Rose Hill Flowers is thrilled to join flower shops across the country in celebrating the 16th annual Make Someone Smile® Week. Originally conceived of as a Teleflora event, the event is one of the largest charitable projects that the floral industry undertakes and participates in every year. It is designed to bring local and family-owned flower shops, like ours, together with growers and flower wholesalers to deliver a dose of happiness to anyone who may need a smile.
The event typically focuses on people in hospitals, children in orphanages or foster care, seniors who are confined to nursing homes or assisted living facilities, homebound people who receive meals on wheels, or anyone who might need a dose of happiness during this important week for our industry.
We hope to encourage our customers to participate in this special charity event by purchasing flowers to deliver to the very people who would be thrilled to be the recipient of a gesture intended to make them smile. In the hope of inspiring you to reach out to a hospitalized family member, an elderly relative, or a neighbor who could stand to be cheered up, we’ve selected some flower arrangements that we’re convinced are sure to make someone smile during this special week.
Sunflower Power
One of the most iconic flowers to represent happiness and summer is the sunflower. This gathering vase is filled to the brim with beautiful and sunny sunflowers. This arrangement is sure to make someone truly happy.
Citrus Splash
Sunflowers are not the only flower known to represent happiness. Gerbera daisies actually symbolize cheerfulness. What better way to put a smile on your loved ones face than with a delightful mix of bright yellow, orange and green blossoms, featuring Gerbera daisies?
